CIRCHENDI is a contemporary circus and street theater festival that aims to promote and develop the cultural and creative potential of Cagliari’s suburbs. The project is directed and conceived by the Teatro del Sottosuolo cultural association in collaboration with the Vico association following participation in the Cagliari dal Vivo 2022 and 2024 call for proposals.
The festival offers a rich program of workshops, live performances, and artistic residencies in collaboration with various local organizations and social groups.
CIRCHENDI is not only an opportunity for entertainment and spectacle for the public, but also aims to be a tool for generating new forms of interaction and exchange in urban chaos.
With CIRCHENDI, we aim to showcase and rediscover various places and people in the city’s outskirts, offering free admission to the shows, as is traditionally the case with street art. We believe that culture should be for everyone, anyone will be free to contribute to the artist’s hat according to their appreciation and their possibilities.
